Immersive Movie Experience Coming to Arizona: Harkins Theatres Introduces 4D Technology
Moviegoers in Arizona are set to experience a new dimension of cinema this summer as Harkins Theatres announces its inaugural 4D movie theater. This innovative approach will engage audiences with a blend of visual storytelling and sensory elements.
Unlike the traditional 2D viewing, 4D theaters elevate the cinematic experience by integrating features such as motion-synchronized seating, ambient scents, and environmental effects that align with the on-screen action. This cutting-edge experience is poised to debut in August at the Harkins Norterra location in north Phoenix.
Jessica Reeves, the vice president of marketing for Harkins Theatres, articulated the chain’s commitment to enhancing the movie-going experience. “We always focus on quality presentation, great storytelling and the ultimate movie going experience. But we always like to do a little something extra for the guest. And we thought it would be really fun to add the 4D element,” she said.
While the ticket pricing for this novel experience remains under wraps, plans are underway to expand with at least two more 4D locations across Arizona, according to Reeves.
