Arizona Adds New Specialty License Plates Supporting Various Causes
Car enthusiasts and supporters of charitable causes in Arizona have more options to personalize their vehicles, thanks to the Arizona Department of Transportation’s (ADOT) Motor Vehicle Division. The department has introduced three new specialty license plates, each supporting a unique organization.
In collaboration with the National Italian American Foundation, the National Kidney Foundation of Arizona, and Solari Crisis and Human Services, these new designs aim to promote awareness and support for their respective causes.

Moreover, ADOT has updated some existing license plates. The Channel 8 PBS plate has been renamed to “Arizona PBS,” and the University of Phoenix plate has received a new design.

Typically, these specialty plates are available for $25 annually, with $17 per plate contributing to the associated charitable organizations. Last fiscal year, the ADOT’s specialty plate initiative generated over $15 million in donations to various nonprofit partners.
With the introduction of these three new plates, Arizona offers a total of 107 specialty plates. “Specialty license plates offer a fun way to customize your vehicle and show your support for one of these uniquely Arizona organizations,” stated MVD Director Michael Cryderman.
