Martell’s Cool Celebration: A Highlight at Tales of the Cocktail 2026

The sweltering heat of New Orleans in July did not deter Martell from delivering a memorable experience during the renowned Tales of the Cocktail convention. This historic city provided an ideal setting to indulge in Martell’s exquisite spirits.
On July 20, Martell, a venerable name among the “big four” cognac houses alongside Hennessy, Rémy Martin, and Courvoisier, hosted an exclusive event. This private gathering was part of Martell’s ongoing initiative to highlight the allure of Cognac. After previous successful events in cities like New York, Houston, Atlanta, and Chicago, the New Orleans edition embraced the city’s rich cognac cocktail heritage.

Adding a unique flair, the event showcased the Cadillac Chronicles, conceived by Brian Freeman. Known for his viral rides through Atlanta with icons like the Isley Brothers and Digable Planets, Freeman curated a special soundtrack for the event, featuring Hip-Hop, Soul, Jazz, and Afrobeat. A 1974 Cadillac Eldorado, adorned in Martell’s branding, was a standout feature of the day.
Celebrity mixologists, including Atlanta’s Thandi Walton and New York’s Marcio Ramon, were present to craft their signature cocktails. Guests enjoyed the Foreign Affair, a blend of Martell Blue Swift, Italicus, grapefruit syrup, lemon, and Mumm Napa, and the Burner Jam, a concoction of Martell VS Cognac, red wine syrup, agave, lime, lemon, and apricot jam. Both drinks received high praise.

Beyond the cocktails, the event emphasized history and community. Martell’s US Ambassador, Jasmin Goldstein, and award-winning bartender Rémy Savage engaged with guests. Savage demonstrated how Martell’s sediment-free distillation contributes to its versatile cognac, showcased in the Martell VS and Blue Swift spirits.
In a city steeped in French culture, the combination of French cognac and cocktails was a perfect match. Judging by the guests’ enjoyment, the event was a resounding success.
