Salad and Go to Cease Operations by 2026
Salad and Go, a drive-thru chain known for its healthy offerings, has announced the closure of all its locations by August 2026. The company, which originated in Arizona over a decade ago, informed its customers via email about this significant decision.
The email highlighted several reasons for the closure, including “sustained pressure on consumer demand, past strategic growth challenges and rising costs.” As of August 5, 2026, all Salad and Go outlets will cease operations.
Originally launched in 2013 by Tony and Roushan Christofellis, the company expanded its footprint across Arizona, Nevada, Oklahoma, and Texas. However, earlier in January, all outlets in Texas and Oklahoma were shut down. As of Tuesday, more than 60 locations were still operational in Phoenix, Tucson, and Nevada.
The founders, who parted ways with Salad and Go by 2021 due to strategic disagreements with their private equity partners, stated, “Ultimately, we did not see eye to eye with the private equity investors on business and growth strategy and we stepped down, exiting completely from Salad and Go by 2021,” the founders said in a Facebook post earlier this year.
Following their departure, the Christofellis duo ventured into a new business, establishing Angie’s Food Concepts in 2022, which operates drive-thru restaurants offering lobster rolls and other delicacies. The couple went on to found Angie’s Food Concepts in 2022, a series of drive-thru restaurants serving lobster rolls.
