In the aftermath of Nolan Wells’ tragic death during a Fourth of July event, three individuals have been apprehended for allegedly threatening Mississippi officials and those associated with Wells. Despite having no direct ties to the deceased or his family, these individuals, hailing from different states, are facing serious charges.

CNN reports that Michelle Francine Edwards, a resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, has been accused of making threats across state lines. Her threats targeted the chancery clerk’s office in George County, while bomb threats were directed at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

The Guardian reveals Edwards allegedly warned officials to stay indoors, ominously stating, “Y’all got a bomb outside, don’t come outside b–h.” If convicted, she could face up to five years in prison, alongside a $250,000 fine and supervised release.

Meanwhile, Edward James Porter from Illinois is charged with threatening a witness in the case, allegedly vowing to harm the witness and their family. On July 31, Porter was charged in Mississippi federal court for making these threats.

Joseph Alfredo Vasquez Dumarce, another individual involved, from Sacramento, California, faces charges similar to those against Edwards. Dumarce’s alleged threats were directed at Judge Ashlee Cole, whose son was among the last to see Wells alive. Using social media, Dumarce reportedly threatened, “There will be a package coming to your guys’ office in the next few days. It’s gonna blow you away when you see it.”

The case of Nolan Wells has generated significant public interest and emotional responses. After attending a party on a barrier island, Wells’ body was found days later a few miles from the coast. This tragic event has led to various actions, including threats against those seeking answers. Recently, an anonymous complaint was filed against his mother, Christine Wonsley, with the Mississippi Board of Nursing.

Despite the intense emotions and speculations, the true circumstances surrounding Wells’ death remain unclear. The ongoing investigations aim to bring clarity and justice, without resorting to harassment or threats.
