Utah Jazz Guard Trey Alexander Stretchered Off in Summer League Game
In a dramatic turn of events at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, Utah Jazz guard Trey Alexander had to be taken off the court on a stretcher. The incident occurred during a game against the Chicago Bulls when Alexander appeared to injure his side while driving to the basket.
Alexander, who recently secured a two-way contract with the Jazz, collided with Caleb Wilson of the Bulls during a drive to the hoop. Following the contact, he attempted a shot before retreating behind the basket, clutching his side or abdomen in visible distress. Subsequently, he fell to the ground, clearly in significant pain.
The 23-year-old athlete was removed from the court at the Thomas & Mack Center with just over two minutes remaining in the game’s fourth quarter. As of now, there has been no official statement from the Utah Jazz regarding the extent of Alexander’s injury.
Before joining the professional ranks, Alexander played three seasons at Creighton University. He opted to forgo his final year of collegiate eligibility to pursue a professional career. Notably, he was named the G League Rookie of the Year for the 2024-25 season and has previously played 24 games with the Denver Nuggets and nine games with the New Orleans Pelicans.
