Dispute Over tWitch’s Legacy

The family of Stephen “tWitch” Boss is embroiled in a heated dispute following allegations made by his widow, Allison Holker, concerning his personal life. Connie Boss Alexander, mother of the late choreographer, has taken to social media to refute these claims and protect her son’s legacy.

Alexander expressed her dismay in a heartfelt Instagram post on January 9. She stated that she and her family were “absolutely appalled by the misleading and hurtful claims” after Holker’s interview with PEOPLE. In this interview, Holker alleged she discovered a hidden stash of drugs in their home after Boss’s tragic suicide in December 2022. Alexander, however, dismissed these claims as false.

“The recent publications spreading untruths about Stephen have crossed every line of decency. As his mother, I will not let these accusations go unanswered,” Alexander wrote, emphasizing her determination to defend her son’s name. She added, “We will not stand by while his name and legacy are tarnished. He doesn’t deserve this, and the kids don’t deserve this.”

Holker’s Revelations and Upcoming Memoir

Earlier in the month, Holker, 36, shared her discovery of drugs among her late husband’s belongings. In an interview with PEOPLE, she described finding mushrooms, pills, and other substances that she had to research online. Holker expressed her shock at the discovery, stating, “It was a really triggering moment for me because there were a lot of things I discovered in our closet that I did not know existed. It was very alarming to me to learn that there was so much happening that I had no clue (about).”

Holker plans to detail more about the couple’s life in her memoir, This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light, set for release on February 4. Among the revelations, Boss’s journal entries allegedly allude to childhood trauma, including sexual abuse by a male figure.

Despite backlash from fans regarding her forthcoming book and interview, Holker clarified her intentions. She explained, “To fans of Stephen and our family and friends, I want to be clear that my only intention in writing the book is to share my own story as well as part of my life with Stephen to help other people,” as reported by TODAY. “Just like you, I never really knew what happened, and even as I am trying to put the pieces together I will never really know.”
