Lansing Mayor Andy Schor Wins Third Term in Office

Andy Schor Re-Elected as Lansing Mayor

In a decisive victory, Lansing Mayor Andy Schor secured a third term as the leader of Michigan’s capital city. The election, which saw a turnout of over 19,000 voters, resulted in Schor winning about two-thirds of the vote, according to unofficial results released by the Ingham County clerk’s office.

Schor attributed his win to his track record as mayor and his vision for crucial issues such as infrastructure and housing. He expressed gratitude to the voters, stating that his plans resonated with them.

His opponent, nonprofit director Kelsea Hector, gracefully conceded defeat. Despite the loss, Hector, who heads Punks with Lunch Lansing, highlighted the importance of their campaign in raising awareness about pressing matters like housing in the city. They expressed optimism about collaborating with Schor in the future.
