Major U.S. Homebuilder Relocates Headquarters to Tempe
In a strategic move aimed at reducing operational expenses and capitalizing on a more central location, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders will be transferring its headquarters from Los Angeles to Tempe by 2027. The relocation is expected to bring significant changes to the company’s operational landscape.
Tempe Mayor Corey Woods expressed the city’s commitment to supporting the company through direct engagement and tailored attention. “If they are looking to hire more people, we are exactly the place to be because we have so many qualified, talented people who are here to get not just simply the jobs of today, but also the jobs of the future,” Woods stated.
Woods highlighted that the state’s lower taxes played a crucial role in attracting the company to Tempe. The company’s focus on affordability and sustainable energy solutions aligns well with the community’s values. The new headquarters is set to be established at Hayden Ferry Lakeside, situated along the picturesque Tempe Town Lake.
The Mayor also mentioned plans for the city to facilitate the homebuilder’s transition and hopes it will inspire other businesses to consider Tempe as a viable relocation option.
