Schweikert Accuses Biggs of Ties to White Supremacists in Mailer

Political Tensions Rise as Schweikert Accuses Biggs in Campaign Mailer

Political rivalries are escalating with Congressman David Schweikert launching strong accusations against fellow Representative Andy Biggs in a recent campaign mailer. Schweikert alleges that Biggs has connections with white supremacists and has engaged in antisemitic behavior, a charge that could significantly influence their race for the GOP nomination.

In a recent interview, Schweikert criticized Biggs for associating with individuals involved in “white nationalism” and antisemitism, suggesting that Biggs’ voting record, including repeated votes against Holocaust recognition, indicates a troubling pattern. Schweikert stated, “These are podcasts full of white nationalism, antisemitism, when you have voted repeatedly against even recognizing the Holocaust, you know, there is something very dark there.”

Responding to the allegations, a spokesperson for Biggs dismissed the mailer as a “desperate tactic.” Despite the pushback, Schweikert maintains that his claims are based on previously published reports from both local and national media outlets.

The competition between Schweikert and Biggs is part of a broader contest to secure the Republican nomination to challenge Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs in the upcoming election.
