Choose Your Favorite “I Voted” Sticker Design for Michigan’s 2026 Election

Michigan residents have the unique opportunity to select the next “I voted” sticker for the 2026 election. With 90 diverse sticker options spread across three categories – elementary/middle school, high school, and a general category – voters can cast their preferences until June 30.

According to a press release by the Michigan Department of State, there has been a surge in participation, with a notable increase in entries compared to the previous contest held in 2024. The department received approximately four times the number of submissions by the May 1 deadline.

The selection process involved the Michigan Collegiate Student Advisory Task Force, which shortlisted thirty semi-finalists per category. This task force comprises students chosen by the Secretary of State, actively involved in community initiatives like voter engagement and civic activities within higher education institutions.

In 2024, Michigan introduced its first election sticker contest, giving rise to the popular werewolf design created by then-12-year-old Jayne Hynous. This year’s submissions showcase an array of themes ranging from nature and Michigan landmarks to clever puns and symbolic artwork.

To participate, designers were required to incorporate the phrase “I voted” into their sticker design, resulting in a diverse collection of creative and meaningful entries.
