Cyclic Materials Recycles Rare Earth Magnets to Supply Local Industries

Cyclic Materials Innovates Recycling of Rare Earth Magnets in Arizona

The landscape of recycling is experiencing a significant transformation as Cyclic Materials introduces its innovative approach to recovering rare earth magnets. These components, sourced from devices like electronics, hard drives, and medical equipment, are being repurposed to benefit local industries. This initiative also extends to refining essential minerals such as copper, aluminum, and steel.

At its Mesa, Arizona facility, the company has commenced processing an impressive 7,000 metric tons of materials. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) highlights that recycling these magnets significantly alleviates the environmental and geological burdens associated with traditional mining practices.

Cyclic Materials selected Arizona as its operational base due to the state’s burgeoning semiconductor, electronics, and data center sectors, which align perfectly with the company’s recycling and supply chain objectives.
