Arizona Governor’s Alleged ‘Sweetheart Deal’ Under Investigation

In 2023, a director appointed by Hobbs approved significantly increased payments to Sunshine Residential Homes for their services, which has raised questions about the nature of the relationship between the company and the governor’s office.
Meanwhile, Republican Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell has launched a parallel investigation, and legislative Republicans have also engaged a law firm to probe the matter further.
