Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Launches Smart Parking System for Holidays

As the holiday season approaches, travelers at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport can now benefit from an innovative parking system designed to enhance their experience. This new technology promises to streamline the process of finding parking spots and is expected to alleviate congestion.

Implemented in the Terminal 3 Garage, the new system utilizes cameras and sensors to detect available parking spaces in real time. This system relays information through visual indicators, guiding drivers to open spots efficiently. “While it is complicated technology, from a user perspective, it’s very simple: Just look for the green light and you’ll find a space to the right or the left and the light even tells you which way to go,” explained airport spokesman Jon Brodsky.

Partnering with ACE Parking, Sky Harbor Airport has introduced the Portier VISION system in its Terminal 3 Garage, which accommodates over 2,000 vehicles. The successful trial here may lead to a broader implementation in the expansive Terminal 4 garage.

During the bustling holiday period, travelers are encouraged to reserve parking in advance to secure their spots at the airport and to enjoy a hassle-free start to their journey.
