Arizona Sees Slight Dip in Gas Prices Following International Developments
In the wake of a recent peace agreement with Iran, gasoline prices across the United States have experienced a noticeable decline. In Arizona, drivers are witnessing a drop in average gas prices to $4.29 per gallon, a decrease of 19 cents from the previous week. However, this price remains significantly higher compared to the same period last year, showing an increase of about one dollar.
Doug Johnson, a representative from AAA Arizona, highlights that the typical trends of supply and demand, particularly during the busy summer driving months, may prevent further decreases in gas prices. “Gas prices, because of supply and demand, usually stay pretty high ahead of holiday weekends. So with the Fourth of July coming up, we do anticipate that gas prices will stay about where they are,” Johnson explained.
The variations in gas prices within Arizona are notable. Graham County residents are facing the highest prices at $4.70 per gallon, whereas drivers in Pima County enjoy the lowest prices at $4.18 per gallon.
